Colourless liquid based on hydrocarbons and surface active components. Non-emulsifying in water and safe to use on most metals. Method of Application TANK CLEANING – CIRCULATION METHOD For the removal of light oily-like contaminations like alcohols, benzines, fuel oils, a dilution of 3 – 5 % is sufficient. For the removal of liquid surfactants like fatty-alcohol ethoxylates etc., a dilution of 8 – 10 % should be used. In case the surfactants are viscous (especially surfactants with an ethoxylationgrade of 15 and higer), the cleaning solution should be heated to max. 55 °C. Recommended tank - cleaning procedure for removing stains from tank linings using Stanrose® Bio Degeaser - HP. 1. Mix solutions of Bio Degreaser 165 either in tank bottom or void space. 2. Dilution rate with water between 3 % and 10 %, depending upon light or heavy contamination (see above). Recent experience has shown that a 7 % - 7.5 % solution secures successful cleaning. 3. Do not use the entire quantity of Bio Degreaser 165 in one solution for all tanks to be cleaned. Save a few drums (2 – 3) to “boost” the solution for cleaning the last 20 % - 25 % of the tanks to be cleaned. 4. The solution may be used at ambient temperature, however, it is suggested that an increase of the cleaning temperature to maximum 55 °C will enhance the cleaning ability and shorten the cleaning time. 5. Proceed to recycle the cleaning solution through the tank washing system for a period of two hours minimum per machine drop. Usually a cleaning time of 4 hours per tank will prove sufficient. 6. At completion of chemical application begin washing down with water, using maximum pressure available. 7. Inspect tank surfaces and if there remain some stains, spot clean with undiluted Stanrose® Bio Degeaser - HP directly on the stained area. Allow a reaction time of 30 minutes and then rinse with water. Storage and Handling Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame. Ensure that the working area is well ventilated. Store at moderate temperatures in dry, well-ventilated area. To clean floors, machines and engines, the pure product should be used to moisturize the objects. During the 20 to 60 minutes working time, brushing may help the cleaning process. Spray off afterwards using a high pressure water jet. Packing Available 25 Ltr. / 210 Ltr. Download File

  • Stanrose® Vaptreat, Vapour Treatment

Stanrose® Vaptreat Stanrose® Vaptreat is a concentrated liquid blend of polymer and antifoam agents for controlling scale and foam in evaporators. Stanrose® Vaptreat is Approved by the Norwegian National Institute of Public Health for application in evaporator systems that are used to produce potable water. Common Name Vapour Treatment Product Code STAN-SSC209 Features and Benefits Stanrose® Vaptreat prevents scale by crystal distortion, dispersion, and absorption of scale forming minerals. Crystal distortion As soluble minerals are forced out of solution during evaporation hey go through an intermediate crystal stage before forming dense deposits. Stanrose® Vaptreat reacts with the crystals causing them to be distorted and irregularly shaped. The distorted crystals do not form dense and uniform deposits which would adhere to evaporator surfaces. Ensures that the evaporator works at maximum efficiency by keeping heat transfer surfaces free of scale The antifoaming properties ensure that distillate quality is high as carry over is eliminated Will gradually remove existing scale when dosed at twice the normal rate Concentrated, safe liquid, easy and economical dosing Technical Properties Appearance pale yellow liquid Flash Point none PH of 1% solution 9.2 Specific Gravity 1.09 Recommended Uses Stanrose® Vaptreat should be fed continuously to the evaporator inlet line. Stanrose® Vaptreat can be diluted with fresh water and the feed solution introduced with an eductor or an positive displacement metering ppm. Method of Application The specially selected polymers in Stanrose® Vaptreat combined with the potential scale forming salts in the brine to prevent them from adhering to heat transfer surfaces. These solids are held in suspension and removed with the evaporator brine. The operating efficiency of the plant is maintained for maximum water production. The intervals between cleaning are greatly increased. The product to use for acid cleaning is Stanrose® Descaler, which will remove old scale prior to treatment with Stanrose® Vaptreat . Evaporators have a tendency to produce foam while operating - the de-foaming properties of Stanrose® Vaptreat will stop this foaming and carry-over will be eliminated. Distilled water quality is maintained. Dosing Method The standard dosage, applicable to the majority of systems, is 15-30 ml of Stanrose® Vaptreat per ton of distillate produced. This is based on the rated production capacity of the evaporator. Example: In a 25 ton/day evaporator. Treatment used = 25 x 30 ml = 750 ml of Stanrose® Vaptreat per day. Setting the Flow Rate The treatment is added to the dosage tank and mixed with water. Example: With the 0.75 litres of Stanrose® Vaptreat add sufficient water to make up 50 litres of liquid. Flow rate calculation: Flowrate = 50 Litres/24 x 60= 35 ml/min setting This will last 24 hours. A metering pump can also be supplied for use with Stanrose® Vaptreat if required. N.B. The brine density should not exceed 1.038 g/cm3. The scaling potential increases rapidly over this level. An increase in the amount of Stanrose® Vaptreat used will assist in retaining potential scale forming salts in suspension. For example: If the density rises to 1.050 g/cm3 the dosage should be 60 ml/ton of rated capacity. Dosage : The recommended dosage rate for Stanrose® Vaptreat is 5 to 10 ppm based on type, usage and operating conditions of the evaporator. Your Stanrose® service engineer will readily guide you on the correct dosage. It is preferred that the evaporator be clean and free of deposits before Stanrose® Vaptreat is introduced . Stanrose® Vaptreat will clean up moderate amount of existing deposits. Double the dosage rates previously recommended during the clean up period. Storage and Handling No special precautions required. Use the same care as in handling other chemicals used for maintenance. Store in a dry place, keep container closed when not in use. Avoid contact with skin. Wash with large quantities of water. In case of contact with eyes, treat with large volumes of water and see a physician. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact rinse with plenty of water. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame. Ensure that the working area is well ventilated.
