When operating modern boiler facilities even under ideal conditions, trace quantities of oxygen are left in the feed water despite mechanical de-aeration.
Features and Benefits
"Stanrose® Oxycontrol-H" is a liquid and easy to feed.
It will convert ferric oxide to a protective film of magnetic.
Single colourimeteric control test.
It doesn't contribute dissolved solids to the boiler water.
Reduced blow-down costs.
Makes iron oxide sludge non adherent by completely changing its composition.
Feed solutions should be prepared with a minimum of stirring. Approx. 6.5 parts of "Stanrose® Oxycontrol-H" are required to chemically react with one part of dissolved oxygen. When using "Stanrose® Oxycontrol-H" in a system for the first time, dosage requirements will be much higher due to the consumption of "Stanrose® Oxycontrol-H" by the ferric oxide present. Because of the reaction of "Stanrose® Oxycontrol-H" with air, feed solutions should be made up fresh daily.
"Stanrose® Oxycontrol-H" will chemically react with active oxygen to form inactive gases of nitrogen and water. Additionally "Stanrose® Oxycontrol-H" passivates metal surfaces through the formation of
protective oxide films thereby minimizing iron and copper deposits in the boiler.
Method of Application
"Stanrose® Oxycontrol-H" should be fed continuously for best results. A positive displacement pump should be used to feed "Stanrose® Oxycontrol-H" into feed water after the deareator. Continuos feed to this area will supply continuos corrosion protection to the feed water control.
"Stanrose® Oxycontrol-H" is controlled by checking the feed hydrazine residual in the boiler water. The recommended range is 0.1 - 0.2ppm. Control testing is a simple colourimeteric cooperator which is available from Stanrose.
Storage and Handling
Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid breathing vapour.
See separate Safety Data Sheet available on request for more information.
Store in a dry place, keep container closed when not in use. Avoid contact with skin. Wash with large quantities of water.
In case of contact with eyes, treat with large volumes of water and see a physician.
Avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact rinse with plenty of water. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection.
Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame. Ensure that the working area is well ventilated.
Store at moderate temperatures in dry, well-ventilated area.
"Stanrose® Oxycontrol-H" is harmful if swallowed. Skin contact and vapour inhalation should be avoided. Protective equipment should be worn when handling "Stanrose® Oxycontrol-H".
"Stanrose® Oxycontrol-H" does not have a flash or fire point and does not represent a fire hazard. Direct contact and storage in high temperature areas should be avoided.
Keep container closed when not in use. Do not store near acids or oxidising agent.
