Description Staroxy 101 is a low solvent containing, penetrating primer for old and new concrete. Used as a primer for epoxy mortar and coatings, either containing or free of solvents, it can be used as curing compound and concrete sealer. Where it Use: • Show rooms. • Underground car parks. • Air craft hangers. • Car service stations. • Oil, petrol and chemical factories. Advantages: Staroxy 101 has an excellent bonding on old & new concrete. Coated concrete with Staroxy 101 are resistant to mineral oil, petrol and dicing salts. The abrasion resistance of the surface is increased. It is used as curing compound and at the same time protects fresh concrete against aggressive industrial fumes. Technical Data: • Pot life at 20-25 °C :2 hours • Color: Clear or any color • Mixing ratio base: curing agent: Clear 2: 1 (by weight) Colored 5: 1 • Drying Time:6 - 8 hours • Shelf Life: One year in normal storage conditions. Direction of Use • Surface preparation: Surfaces to be coated must be degreased, clean, dry and contamination free prior to Staroxy 101 application. New concrete should be at least 28 days age, if Staroxy 101 is used as a primer for subsequent coats or sealer. • Mixing: Material must be mixed according to the mixing ratio. It is advisable to prepare time by time the suitable quantity to be applied in two hours (at 20 - 25 ْC). • Method of application: Staroxy 101 can be applied by brush, roller, conventional and airless spray equipment. • Cleaning: For cleaning tools and equipment use a suitable thinner. Description Staroxy 102 is a two-component solvent free epoxy having excellent bonding to any kind of floors. It has a very fast drying capacity. It is always suggested to use Staroxy 102 before any kind of Epoxy Flooring System. Staroxy 102 is used as a primer for epoxy mortar and coatings, either containing or free of solvents, it can be used as curing compound and concrete sealer. Where it Use: Staroxy 102 can be used as concrete primer and sealer in : • Show rooms. • Underground car parks. • Air craft hangers. • Car service stations. • Oil, petrol and chemical factories. Advantages • Solvent free, Odourless two component Epoxy System • Easy to apply. • High tolerance up to 70% relative humidity in the concrete. • It has low viscosity with maximum penetration, soaking into the capillary pores. • It also strengthens the top layer of substrate. • It has excellent adhesion to any substrate. • It is compatible with subsequent Epoxy and Polyurethane Top Coats. Technical Properties • Application: Brush, Roller • Mixing Ratio: 2 parts Base to 1 part Hardener by weight • Coverage: 3-5sq.mtr. /kg depending on surface porosity and profile. • Touch Dry: 2 hours at 25 Deg. Cent Direction of use: • Surface preparation: The long-term durability of the applied Staroxy 102 is dependent on the adhesive bond achieved between the flooring material and substrate. It is most important therefore, that substrate surfaces are correctly prepared prior to application. 1. New concrete or cementations substrates should have been placed at least 28 days. 2. Before application, the surface to be coated, should be free from loose particles, rust, oils, grease, or earlier coatings and should be thoroughly dry. 3. After surface is dry, all repair work like sealing of joints, crack filling of cavities and crevices should be carried out. 4. If the surface is Tremix or smooth surface then Shot Blasting is carried out to make the surface rough in order to enhance the bonding of the primer. • Mixing: 1. Pack components are pre-weighed for optimum performance. Never split packs. 2. Empty contents of Base into a mixing container and pre-mix to assure the suspension of solids. 3. Add Curing Agent and continue to mix to a uniform consistency for 1-2 minutes. 4. Mix with slow speed drill and helical spinner head for 2 minutes. 5. Method of application: Staroxy 102 can be applied by brush, roller, conventional and airless spray equipment. Application: • Staroxy 102 must be applied immediately after mixing the two components. • Staroxy 102 is applied with a paint brush or roller to produce a thin film. Storage & Shelf Life: Store all components of Staroxy 102 unopened in shade. Avoid excessive heat. The shelf life is 1 year in original, unopened container. Description Staroxy 104 is a solvent free clear two-pack low viscosity epoxy resin primer. It is used for cementitious substrates prior to application of epoxy or polyurethane. Advantages: • Being water based excellent wetting of cementitious surface. • Gives very good adhesion to the top coat. • Solvent free • Can be applied on Concrete, Metal, Wood etc. Physical Characteristics: • Application Brush, Roller • Mixing Ratio :1 parts Base to 3-part Hardener by weight • Pot Life: 30 min. at 2 5degree Centigrade • Drying Time 2 Hrs. at 25o Cent. • Coverage Approximately 4-6 Sq. Mtr /Kg /coat depending on substrate porosity, texture, temperature of substrate. • Recommended No. of Coats 1 Application: It should be installed by approved contractors. Description Staroxy ESD 109 WB is a solvent free black two-pack low viscosity conductive primer based on Epoxy resin. It is used prior to application of Antistatic Epoxy Floor Coating. Fields of Application: • Designed for use as a wear resistant antistatic top coat for indoor application in ESD areas with low to medium mechanical stress. • Designed to provide an ESD top coat on smooth surface like conductive or dissipative epoxies. Following information should be used as a guideline. • SURFACE PREPARATION. 1. The surface should be fully sealed and primed using Staroxy108 2. Before application, the surface to be coated, should be free from loose particles. 3. Earthing points should be installed including a grid of conductive self-adhesive copper tapes at the distance of 5mt. 4. The Staroxy108 should be applied on the surface including the copper Tape. 5. Electrical resistance should be tested prior to over coating. • MIXING Pack components are pre-weighed for optimum performance. Never split packs. Empty contents of component B into a mixing container and pre-mix to assure the suspension of solids. Add component A and continue to mix to a uniform consistency for 1-2 minutes.
