Stanrose® Bio Guard “Stanrose® Bio Guard” is a very effective clear , yellowish green with , anti fungal based dispersing cleaner for the control of fouling by marine growth such as algae, shellfish, mussels, barnacles and micro-organisms and fungal growth in the sea water side of cooling systems. Due to its molecular firm foaming properties, it also acts as a corrosion inhibitor. Method of Application For sea water cooling systems - Dose 150 – 500 ML of Stanrose® Anti-Fouling for every 100 tons of sea water flowing through the system per hour. The treatment should be applied daily when the vessel is on coastal waters. Normally the treatment is not required when sailing deep sea. For ballast tanks - Dose 1 litre of Stanrose® Anti-Fouling per 10 tons of water prior to ballasting, followed by a monthly dose of 2 litres per 100 tons. For Trim Tanks, Oil Rig Sea Legs and Similar Systems - Dose 25 litres of Stanrose® Anti-Fouling per 100 tons of water. Stanrose® Dieslite Stanrose® Dieslite is a catalytic combustion improver which permits the burning of lower cost residual fuel oils. Common Name Dieslite / Fuel Oil Stabilizer / Fuel Combustion Improver Product Code STAN-FOT192 Features and Benefits The catalytic properties of Stanrose® Dieslite allow heavy fuel particles to be successfully consumed during the act of combustion. Ignition temperature is lowered and combustion improved. In addition physical agents decrease or prevent sludge formation and separate emulsified water. The catalytic properties of STANROSE® DIESLITE also help to prevent the formation of acidic gases, which typically create sulphuric acid corrosion in the cooler parts of the boiler or engine. These include cylinder liners, valve stems, exhaust trunking and funnel uptakes. Technical Properties CCR % = Conradson Carbon Residue is mentioned in the technical data sheet. Recommended Uses Engine and exhaust components are kept cleaner with less maintenance and cleaning required. Less carbon and soot is emitted thereby reducing smoke. The fuel system has less clogging and better fuel flow, giving better combustion. Acid corrosion is reduced in the cold end of the engine. Fuel tanks and pipes are left clean and free of sludge. Method of Application STANROSE® DIESLITE should be fed via a metering pump into the suction side of the booster pump. As a second option it can be added to the settling tank. Ideally dosage rates should be determined from fuel analysis tests. Alternatively as a general guide a dose of 1:4000 should be applied. Stanrose® Liquid Descaler A fully inhibited, fast acting descaler. Common Name Scale Remover - Liquid Product Code STAN-CLC073 Features and Benefits Add “Stanrose® Liquid Descaler” slowly, a few gallons at a time, to the tower to reduce tendency to foam. Foaming indicates that descaler is dissolving the scale. If excessive foam occurs, use Defoamer. Any method of descaling either boilers or towers will dissolve scale that may be plugging areas that are already leaking due to rust or other corrosion, therefore, no liability can be assumed. Technical Properties Contains a balanced ratio of acids and surfactants, making it a suitable descaler for boilers and water towers. It contains built-in pH indicator. Contains acids. Do not use on aluminum, decorative metals, zinc, magnesium, galvanized or painted surfaces. Spot test small area for sensitivity before use. Recommended Uses For Descaling Boilers and Water Towers Method of Application For Descaling Boilers : For initial descaling, mix 1 part “Stanrose® Liquid Descaler” with 5 parts water in the system. Later cleaning may require less concentration. Isolate unit to be cleaned to protect valves and avoid possible contamination of rest of system. Fill boiler with “Stanrose® Liquid Descaler” and water at a 1:5 to 1:20 ratio. Heat the water to 60oC-80oC (140oF-190oF) and circulate for about 4 hours and then check the tubes. If descaling is not complete, refill the boiler with “Stanrose® Liquid Descaler” and water and repeat. Drain the boiler and flush with water pressure to remove all the scale and sludge. Drain and fill the boiler at least 3 times. For Descaling Water Towers : Shut tower down and use high pressure water to hose out mud, silt and slime. Isolate the unit to be descaled to protect valves and avoid possible contamination of the rest of system. Lower water level to just the amount required for circulation. Add “Stanrose® Liquid Descaler” to water in the tower at the ratio of 1 part in 5 parts of water. Add enough “Stanrose® Liquid Descaler” to maintain the pH from 1.5 to 2.5. Continue adding, as required, to maintain proper pH level for about 4 hours. The circulating solution should be yellow in color. If the solution while circulating turns blue, more “Stanrose® Liquid Descaler” needs to be added. Drain the system, flush and fill twice and check pH of water to be certain all “Stanrose® Liquid Descaler” has been removed. Storage and Handling Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Method of Application Cargo tank cleaning following discharge of drying, semi-drying and non drying natural oils and fats. As soon as possible after the cargo has been discharged, the tanks should be flushed with cold water to prevent polymerisation and evaporation of the lighter oil fractions. Whenever possible, the cleaning solution should be heated to 60-80°C. However, the polymerising nature of some natural oils may demand lower cleaning temperatures. Dosing Method The most economical method of using "STANROSE® CLEAN CARE ALKALINE" is by direct injection followed by recirculation washing, using tank cleaning machines. If this method is not possible, hand spraying provides acceptable options. Refer to dosage table for dosage rates. Use product undiluted. Storage and Handling The product is toxic, causes burnings and irritates the respiratory system. Use only in well-ventilated areas. Do not breathe fumes. Vapours inhalation may cause drowsiness and dizziness. Wear suitable protective clothing, goggles, gloves and respiratory equipment with type A or AX filter. Store in a cool dry area away from direct sunlight and ignition sources in tightly closed containers. Store separately from food items. Ensure that the workplace is well-ventilated.
